If you are here, something happened to you.
A pastor told you God couldn't love you the way you are. A family chose their theology over you. A church said nothing while people you loved were dying — and that silence was its own kind of sermon.
That was not God. That was people wielding power in God's name. And what they did to you — to your body, your relationships, your sense of worth — was harm. Real harm. The kind that doesn't go away because someone eventually puts up a rainbow flag.
Whatever you are feeling right now — hurt, rage, grief, disgust, apathy, or nothing at all — that is the right response to what was done to you. The Church bears the responsibility.
What they took from you was never theirs to take.
You are a divine soul. Whole. Sovereign. Worthy of love that does not come with conditions attached. That was true before any church got a say, and it will be true long after.
You have the divine birthright to say — and mean it:
I am home. I am safe. I am loved.
You don't need to justify anything.
One of the loneliest parts of religious harm is that it's hard to talk about. People who haven't experienced it don't quite understand. And the people who were there are often still inside the institution that hurt you.
Sacred Safety Circles are small groups of queer people gathering to tell the truth — without being managed, redirected, or asked to see the other side.
